Rachel met Elijah her first year at EFY, when she was 14. They became good friends and emailed and called each other for 2 years. Finally, when she turned 16, he flew from Fort Worth to see her for the weekend. He worked it out with me to pick him up at the airport and surprise her after school. They spent the weekend getting to know one another better. Rachel also was able to Fort Worth over Labor Day Weekend and camp with his family. Although they didn't end up working out, Rachel has some good memories of her first love.
