Quilt Retreat at Sea Alaska Cruise
At the end of June, Jacquelyn, Bill and I flew to Seattle to escort our Quilt Retreat at Sea group on a 7 night Alaska cruise. We flew in early to Seattle and walked along the waterfront, visiting Pike Place Market, the Space Needle and took the ferry to Bainbridge Island, which is an upscale residential island. We had a nice lunch there and enjoyed relaxing. Our cruise was a lot of fun and we met many new people. I flew in a helicopter for the first time, with friends Nina and Pam. We flew over the mountains and the bay and landed on a glacier. What a cool experience. It was so amazing and beautiful. We were able to walk around on the glacier. Our guide, Matt, showed us a huge hole in the glacier that had been formed by a glacier river - scary! It was definitely something I will always remember.
